Mr. Ho has extensive M&A, corporate finance and restructuring transaction experience in the energy sector.

His notable advisory mandates included advising:

  • Matahio on a confidential acquisition in SEA

  • a SEA National Oil Company on an acquisition in North Africa

  • the financial restructuring of a refinery in Vietnam

  • KrisEnergy on its asset sales and financial restructuring

  • the Ad Hoc Committee of bondholders in an amendment and extension of certain bonds of Hilong Group of Companies

  • Petronas on the acquisition of Progress Energy (C$5.9 billion)

  • Nexen on its Horn River JV with INPEX

  • CIC on its private equity investment (C$250 million) in MEG Energy

  • Enerplus on the sale of its 15% project interests in the Joslyn Oil Sands Project to Occidental Petroleum

  • BlackRock Ventures on its C$2.6 billion sale to Shell Canada

Over his career, Mr. Ho successfully raised over US$4.0 billion of capital across the entire capital structure, from private equity, initial public offering, flow through equity, convertible debentures, private notes, high yield bonds to investment grade bonds.

Prior to establishing Logan Advisory in 2023, Mr. Ho has an accomplished 25 years investment banking career with global investment banks in North America and Asia. Most recently, he was a Director at Houlihan Lokey in Hong Kong and was responsible for the firm’s energy sector coverage in Canada and Asia Pacific. Previously, he was an Executive Director at Moelis & Company in Hong Kong, where he focused on cross-border M&A transactions for Chinese clients.

Prior to moving to Asia, Mr. Ho worked for over 10 years in energy investment banking in Calgary, Canada, including progressive roles with RBC Capital Markets and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He also worked for Anbang Insurance in Canada as an Investment Director with a focus on acquisition opportunities in the energy sector. Mr. Ho started his investment banking career with Rothschild in Toronto, Canada, where he gained valuable experience in M&A and restructuring advisory services for clients in the telecommunications, financial services, and mining industries.

Mr. Ho holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is also a CFA charterholder.
